Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about the AI Object Detector.
Back to the toolWhat can the AI detect?
It recognizes the 80 everyday object types of the COCO dataset — including people, vehicles, animals, kitchen items, furniture, electronics and sports equipment.
Is it free and private?
Yes. The detection runs in your browser, so it is free and unlimited and your photos are never uploaded.
Fast vs Accurate — which should I use?
Fast (YOLOS-tiny, about 10 MB) is quick and fine for clear photos. Accurate (DETR ResNet-50, about 43 MB) finds more and smaller objects but takes longer.
Why are some objects missing?
Very small, hidden or unusual objects may not be found. Lower the confidence slider or switch to the Accurate model.
Can I count objects?
Yes. The tags under “Found” show how many of each object type were detected. Click a tag to hide or show that type.
Can I use the results in my app?
Download the JSON or CSV — it contains each object name, confidence score and box position in pixels.
